Excellent news, Birmingham Sherbourne have been awarded an Armed Forces Community Covenant Grant towards refurbishment of the Unit.

Work will commence during the week beginning 23rd June and continue for approx. 5 weeks.  Our contractor W.Barratt is experienced in  refurbishment and repairs of schools and is well placed to deliver the project in the time allowed and to a professional standard.  Repairs to the roof, girls dorm, toilets and showers, staff toilets and showers, and boys dorm and major works to the boat deck will provide better facilities and accommodation for both staff and cadets.

Stop overs will not be possible during this period but parade nights and waterborne training will continue as normal.

Excellent results over the weekend of 14th and 15th June means we have Area representation from Sherbourne in both the Sailing and Rowing competitions.

Well done to the sailing team, winners of the junior topper and overall winners and senior girls rowing and open yole.

Staff, crews and individuals worked extra hard in the run up to the competitions and are now working even harder to practice and raise their game to face the Area Competitions in Bristol on the 5th July for the South West Area Combined Regatta and weekend of 25th July in Portsmouth for the South West Area Sailing Regatta.

Well done to you all and good luck for the next stage.
