We will Remember!

We will Remember!

Today marks 102 years since the end of World War 1 and at 11:00 this morning we will all stop for 2 minutes while we remember all those who have fallen.

We will remember!

Remembrance Day!

Remembrance Day!

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;

Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.

At the going down of the sun and in the morning

We will remember them.

WHAT A GREAT FIRST NIGHT BACK IN SCC VIRTUAL WORLD

WHAT A GREAT FIRST NIGHT BACK IN SCC VIRTUAL WORLD

We did a session on the different types of Poppies and what they represent, along with going over a few details of their history and heritage.

Cadets were then encouraged to get involved this weekend at home whilst also making our very own Poppies.

Lastly we updated cadets on how our virtual training is going to go through this next phase of our history.

We are all affected in different ways, and we all have different attitudes towards what we think should be happening at this time. We can’t change the rules around Lockdown, but we can change our approach to it.

Sea Cadets can be a source of hope and encouragement for our Cadets and Volunteers which we believe can have an impact within our family, our neighbours, and our local communities.

*** IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT *** ***RETURN TO VIRTUA

*** IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT *** ***RETURN TO VIRTUA

SCC HQ have made the decision to close all units and suspend all face to face activity until Lockdown2 is lifted. I know this decision will have been a difficult one for them to make, but I think we can all agree, it is probably for the best, given the recent rise in cases, and one we will fully support.

This does not mean we won’t be meeting as we will return to Virtual Delivery, utilising Zoom again.

When we can be back face to face we will!

I am proud of each and every one of our cadets and volunteers. Things have not been easy, but we have done this before so can do it again.

More details of how cadets can stay involved are in the Email.

If anyone has any questions, please message and we will do our best to help/answer/support.
