CSC Commendation

10 June 2025

Dear friends of Reading Sea Cadets and Royal Marines Cadets,

We are excited to announce that the Reading Unit has received a "Captain's Certificate of Commendation" as part of the recently announced National Awards. This commendation is awarded for our exceptional performance under challenging circumstances.

Please find a note from our Chairman included below.

Well done and "BZ" (Bravo Zulu) to everyone! It is gratifying to see that the hard work each of you has contributed as a team has been recognised.

This award was granted based on the recommendation of the Area Officer to the Captain for the period from April 2024 to March 2025. Out of 16 such awards in the Southern Area, only one was awarded in Berkshire.

The Commanding Officer extends heartfelt thanks to all the staff and committee members for their dedication and the time they have committed to our unit and all the cadets within it.

Bravo Zulu to you all!

Peter Young, RVM
