Gt Yarmouth is a Growing unit-come and Join us

Its is great to be part of a growing unit and Sea Cadets is no exception. We seek to offer opportunities to all and retention of existing cadets and opening our doors to all young people (aged 10-18) in our community is our goal. Here we are joined by senior officers and other volunteers to present their recognition of our achievement.

Recognition is great motivation for all of us

Its all about recognition! Here we see Cadet First Jonathan, from the Great Yarmouth Sea Cadets, with the ‘Best Cadet’ trophy’s from Armed Forces Day. It was presented to him by Chelsea Pensioner Paul and was a reward for being smartly turned out and contributing to the day. Sea Cadets helps people achieve and be the best that they can

We had an important night at cadets last night with lots of visitors, the Area Officer Commander Collen RN (and her dog Luna), Lieutenant Commander Janner-Burgess (SCC) RNR, Lieutenant Commander Waylett (SCC) RNR, and Warrant Officer Cousins (SCC) RNR who came to see how the unit is doing and speak with the cadets. We also had PO Coady come from Kings Lynn to teach piping with the senior cadets. The night was completed by Commander Collen giving out some awards: Able Junior Cadet Jonathan received his green (outdoor and recreation badge) and Able Junior Cadet Megan received her green badge and her promotion to Leading Junior Cadet. We are very proud of all our cadets for representing the unit so well, and working hard to continue to progress.
