Warm Welcome from HMS Pembroke - 28/5/2017

A chance opportunity afforded itself on the units arrival at Milford Haven this week.  Our Padre made a few swift phone calls and we all ended up on a ships tour of HMS Pembroke.  Cadets had the opportunity to try out a selection of activities on board and to appreciate the size and work involved in operating a Royal Naval Ship.

Thank you to the Captain and ships crew for your warm welcome, it was a true honour.

Duke of Westminster Award - Selection Event...

AC Hannah (far left) was one of 30 cadets from all Cadet Forces to be chosen to attend the selection event in Somerset 10th to 13th April.  AC Hannah, pictured with Daniel Chan, HQSO Sea Cadets BTEC and 5 of her fellow Sea Cadets from around the country took part in a gruelling 3 days of both physical and mental activities to test their leadership and teamwork skills, fortunately the weather was kind and kept dry for them.  The 30 will now be cut down to a lucky 10 who will be given the opportunity to take part in a voluntary community project in South Africa for 2 weeks in July. All that's left to do now is wait for the decision notice on 1st May, Good Luck AC Hannah, we are all keeping our fingers crossed for you. You can check out the activities of the week on the link below.
