National Cadet Voice Conference

National Cadet Voice Conference

Not only have our young people been active in sharing their voices through the West Dunbartonshire Youth Council, but they’ve also made an impact on the national stage!

By taking part in the Sea Cadets National Cadet Conference, our cadets have played a direct role in shaping the future of the organisation—proving that youth voices belong at the heart of decision-making.

It’s inspiring to see our cadets influencing positive change both locally and nationally. Their commitment, confidence, and leadership are a credit to Clydebank and the wider Sea Cadets family. Bravo Zulu!

Clydebank Cadets visit Ibrox

Clydebank Cadets visit Ibrox

At the end of February, Clydebank Sea Cadets were honoured to be hosted by Rangers FC as part of their well-supported Armed Forces Day celebrations at Ibrox Stadium. The event was a fantastic opportunity to strengthen bonds between the armed forces and local communities.

Cadets and volunteers were thrilled to meet with the Area Officer and a group of Faslane submariners, sharing experiences and enjoying the matchday atmosphere. Our young people represented the unit with pride and professionalism, adding a bit of polish to an already memorable occasion.

A huge thank you goes to Rangers FC for their first-class hospitality—it was a day to remember. And, it seems we may have brought a bit of luck with us… since our visit, the fortunes of Rangers FC have been on the rise!

Bravo Zulu to our cadets and staff for doing us proud once again.

Cadets celebrate 25 years of Scottish Parliament

Cadets celebrate 25 years of Scottish Parliament

Last week, our cadets were honoured to join the West Dunbartonshire Youth Council in celebrating 25 years of the Scottish Parliament.

Held as a special anniversary event, it gave our young people a unique opportunity to meet and speak with Presiding Officer Alison Johnstone, their local MSPs, the Provost, and fellow youth groups from across the area.

The day was a fantastic chance for cadets to engage directly with decision-makers, share their views, and play an active role in discussions about Scotland’s future. We’re incredibly proud of the confident, thoughtful contributions they made—once again proving that youth voices matter.

A huge congratulations to LC Sam on passing her promotion board at the weekend!

This achievement is a testament not only to the time and effort she’s dedicated in recent weeks to prepare, but also to the years of hard work, commitment, and personal development she’s shown as a Sea Cadet.

BZ LC Sam – we’re all incredibly proud of you and can’t wait to see what you achieve next in your cadet journey!

Clydebank Remembrance 2024

Today, Clydebank Sea Cadets had the honour of taking part in the Remembrance Sunday Parade in Clydebank, standing proudly alongside the community to pay tribute to those who gave their lives in service.

Our cadets represented the unit with impeccable dress, bearing, and drill, reflecting the respect and dignity the occasion deserves. Their conduct was a credit to themselves, their families, and the wider Sea Cadet Corps.

A heartfelt thank you to all the volunteers who supported today’s event—whether through preparing the cadets, helping on the day, or simply showing up in solidarity.

Bravo Zulu to everyone involved. Lest we forget.
